Sodimate patented a new dust emission reducer for slurries. Sodimix is a unique system that eliminates the dust created from screw conveyors to slurry tanks.

First the dry chemical drops from the outlet chute into a wetting/agitation chamber that increases turbidity. The conveyor outlet is also connected to a unique reversible air/water filter. The supply water passes through a T shaped eductor that creates a negative pressure (Venturi effect) which vacuums suspended dust from the outlet chute throughout the filter.

On cleaning mode a valve diverts the supply water through the filter. The water cleans the filter and then continues into the wetting/agitation chamber. This system is completely dust free and can be mounted on existing systems. Typical applications are, but not limited to: PAC, Lime, Polymers, Soda Ash.
