Encoder manufacturer Joral has developed the J1939 encoder. Packaged in a 30mm housing, Joral delivers a CAN Bus sensor fit for any vehicle -- designed with patented non-contact technology.

Joral’s 30mm J1939 encoder can tolerate up to 0.5” in shaft misalignment, and outputs an industry-unique multi-layered J1939 message. The sensor’s multi-layered message includes a 0 – 1000 count absolute position report, a 0 – 3000 RPM monitor, as well as a 32 bit counter with save function. Smaller than a half dollar coin, the encoder can operate fully submerged in water as well as through non-magnetic barriers, making it the perfect solution for tight, uncompromising installations.

Other features include completely sealed electronic components, diagnostic LEDs and customizable magnet packages. Joral employs a clear potting epoxy to seal its electric components. The epoxy provides an impenetrable shield which protects the sensitive electronics from contaminants and moisture while allowing the sensor’s diagnostic LED lights to remain visible.
