Vacon, Inc., a global manufacturer of AC drives, announced Douglas K. Backman has joined Vacon as the Managing Director for Canada reporting directly to Tom Doring, President Vacon, Inc. and Vacon Canada.

Mr. Backman sold his first AC Drive in 1987 and comes to Vacon with 25 years of successful growth and leadership in the industry. Most recently, Doug held the position of the National Director of Canada for Lenze. Doug has also held leadership positions at Siemens and Eaton working in both Canada and the United States.
