Duperon Names Aiken Western Regional Sales Manager

Steve’s interest in clean water began during his tour of service in Vietnam where he saw a woman cleaning her clothing in the same dirty streams where water buffalo grazed and discharged. Upon his return from Vietnam he earned his degree in Civil Engineering, working in a variety of positions in small package wastewater plants and large municipally-owned facilities.

Steve Aiken, an experienced water and wastewater veteran, has been selected for the position of Western Regional Sales Manager for Duperon Corporation. Steve’s interest in clean water began during his tour of service in Vietnam where he saw a woman cleaning her clothing in the same dirty streams where water buffalo grazed and discharged. Upon his return from Vietnam he earned his degree in Civil Engineering, working in a variety of positions in small package wastewater plants and large municipally-owned facilities. With more than 39 years of experience in the wastewater industry, Steve has operated virtually every wastewater process, in addition to designing, engineering, and project-managing for more than 50 different treatment plants.
Steve has been involved with the Michigan Water Environment Association, acting as chairman on 5 different committees: Education, Research, Certification, Membership, and Process. Additionally, he has acted as the President of the Michigan Water Environment Association, and is a member of the Select Society of Sanitary Sludge Shovelers. He received the Arthur Bedell Award from the Water Environment Federation in 2008 in acknowledgement of extraordinary personal service to member association.
