The Sump and Sewage Pump Manufacturers Association (SSPMA) reported significant sales increases for 2010. The increases for each of the product categories for which the Association collects statistics are: pedestal and submersible sump, sewage and effluent pumps (+10 1/2%); utility pumps (+42%); battery-operated backup sump pumps (+19%; multi-stage centrifugal effluent pumps (+24 1/2%; and submersible grinder pumps (+32%).
Participants in the program are Barnes Pumps, Champion Pump Co., Franklin Electric WTS, ITT Goulds, Liberty Pumps, Pentair Water, and Zoeller.
SSPMA is a North American trade organization representing over 90 percent of the manufacturers of sump, effluent and sewage pumps, together with component and accessory suppliers.
