ECOfluid Receives Innovation Award for Snug Cove WWTP
BURNABY, BC, CA - January 10, 2012 - WastewaterPR.com - ECOfluid Systems Inc.’s recent expansion and upgrade of Snug Cove Wastewater Treatment Plant (Bowen Island, BC) has been selected for the Innovation Category of Water’s Next. The project provided Bowen Island Municipality with immediate increase of the hydraulic and biological capacity of the existing plant and improved the quality of effluent discharged to the environment.
ECOfluid Systems Inc.’s recent expansion and upgrade of Snug Cove Wastewater Treatment Plant (Bowen Island, BC) has been selected for the Innovation Category of Water’s Next. The project provided Bowen Island Municipality with immediate increase of the hydraulic and biological capacity of the existing plant and improved the quality of effluent discharged to the environment. The municipality now has the possibility of reusing the treated effluent for irrigation and in future dual plumbing applications.
Water’s Next is an annual publication of Water Canada magazine, highlighting significant contributions to Canada’s waterscape. The magazine’s readers make nominations in the categories of People, Businesses, Projects, and Innovation and featured nominees are selected by a committee of water experts from varied disciplines from across the country. “Water’s Next celebrates some of the best and brightest of Canada’s water champions,” says Kerry Freek, Editor of Water Canada. “Congratulations to the featured nominees for their hard work and commitment to making safe, health water resources a priority.”
