Oatey Co., a leader in the plumbing industry since 1916, today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, HCC Holdings Inc., has completed the acquisition of certain assets of the Hercules Chemical Company. Hercules, which was started in 1915, is a leading manufacturer of a broad line of products for sale to wholesale and retail suppliers primarily in the plumbing, heating, air conditioning and electrical trades.
Oatey SCS, an affiliate of Oatey, has been the exclusive distributor of Hercules' products since 2001. "The Hercules brand is valued by professionals and complements the Oatey SCS array of brands," said Oatey President John McMillan. “With the addition of the Hercules products, Oatey will strengthen its leadership position in the rough-in plumbing products business. Our goal is to provide a broad line of the highest quality products to maximize overall value to our customers."
