RS Technik, a European company represented in the Americas by RS Lining Systems, LLC, announces the appointment of Steve Wierzchowski, formerly with Raven Lining Systems, a division of Cohesant, Inc.
Founded in 1996, RS Technik is a leader in cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) technology, the fastest-growing and most generally accepted trenchless method in the underground pipe rehabilitation industry. RS Technik has provided comprehensive pipe rehabilitation solutions for nearly 15 years including the mobile RS CityLiner® system which offers state-of-the-art equipment, quality materials, DOW™ Formulated epoxy resins, on-site training and ongoing technical support. RS Technik’s commitment to maintaining the highest levels of training and support is what led RS Technik to seek a dedicated technical director.
"We are excited to welcome Steve to the RS Technik team,” said Klaus Muller, President of RS Technik AG. “As we continue our successful growth in the U.S., Canada and Latin America, we must have the ability to properly support our customers’ existing equipment needs as well as pursue ongoing innovation and improvement in the development of our state-of-the-art RS CityLiner systems. Steve and his support network of vendors will allow us to remain the world's industry leader in mobile CIPP systems for today and well into the future.
Wierzchowski will officially take the helm on September 1st and will serve as the technical interface between the company’s European technology and the unique applications and specifications in North, South and Central America.
“RS Technik is experiencing explosive growth on a global level,” said Wierzchowski, “and I am excited to be a part of this unique business concept as we bring it to the Americas. In my role as technical director, I will coordinate the importation of our equipment from Europe, and then manage the assembly and installation of the equipment into service platforms used in North America. In addition to providing training and support, my main objective is to guarantee seamless applications, regardless of where in the world the installation occurs. We are a global company, and that means operationally we need to ensure that cultural differences are recognized and understood. For example, differences in power sources, vehicle configurations, and other non-standard features of our equipment must be understood and addressed for each geographic area.”
Wierzchowski’s 17 years of experience with Raven, most recently as technical director, will translate nicely into his role at RS Technik. “At Raven I had the opportunity to start with OEM, or factory-type spray coating equipment, and translate that into a field operation unit. Mobility, reliability and efficiency were of key importance, and that is also at the heart of the RS CityLiner concept – particularly the unique feature of translating the wet-out process from a traditional building setting to the mobile RS CityLiner system. But the ultimate goal, of course, is to provide a direct support network for RS Technik’s customers to ensure that our systems are user friendly, that operators are properly trained and that they have all the tools they need to maintain their equipment and repeatedly produce quality installations regardless of location or circumstances.”
