Ultimo Measurement Offers Non-Invasive Density and Viscosity Meter

PROVIDENCE, RI - August 26, 2010 - WastewaterPR.com - The Ultimo DVM continuously measures the absolute or relative density or viscosity of any liquid or loose solid material with process temperatures of up to 800 F with precision and accuracy suitable for most process control applications.

Ultimo Measurement, LLC announces the availability of the Ultimo non-invasive Density and Viscosity Meter ("DVM").

The Ultimo DVM continuously measures the absolute or relative density or viscosity of any liquid or loose solid material with process temperatures of up to 800 F with precision and accuracy suitable for most process control applications.

The Ultimo DVM is especially suited for high value processes like refining, chemical processing, mining, and others and helps processors reduce secondary processing, and material waste while enabling process optimization and improving product quality

Ultimo's proprietary vibration-based (non-acoustic) percussion technology is 100% non-invasive.

The DVM strikes the outside wall of a vessel to create an oscillation of the vessel wall and the material on the other side of the wall. It then captures and analyzes the oscillations to determine the density and/or viscosity of the material inside. The DVM works equally well on typical steel, aluminum and plastic based vessels and pipes.

Self-learning software discriminates between valuable and ambient vibrations and automatically adjusts the energy of percussion to obtain a 'signature' created by the vessel wall and the content material. The DVM captures a vast amount of interface information and provides, as a result, high sensitivity and exceptional precision of density and viscosity measurement.
